National Securities Depository Limited (NSDL) can come in the initial public offering ie IPO in July. According to reports, $ 400 million, or Rs 3,420 crore will be raised through the IPO.
In this issue, the company will issue 50.1 million or 5.01 crore shares. This IPO will be completely offer for sale. Through the issue, many major investors including IDBI Bank Limited, National Stock Exchange of India Limited and State Bank of India will sell their shares in NSDL. However, NSDL will not get any income through the IPO.
SEBI approved the issue in September last year
NSDL is the largest depository in the country in terms of asset under custody. NSDL listing is managed by ICICI Securities Limited, Axis Capital Limited, HSBC Holdings PLC and IDBI Capital. However, no official statement has been revealed by the company yet.
NSDL filed a draft red hearing prospectus for IPO in July 2023. SEBI approved the company’s issue in September last year. According to DRHP, 6 current shareholders of the company will sell their 5.72 crore shares.

IDBI Bank will sell 2.22 crore shares in OSS
Through this ODS, IDBI Bank will sell 2.22 crore, NSE 1.80 crore, Union Bank 56.25 Lakh, Specified Undertaking of Unit Trust of India (Suuti) 34.15 lakh shares. At the same time, State Bank of India and HDFC Bank will sell 40-40 lakh shares from their respective parts.
NSDL is the country’s largest depository company
There are 2 depository companies in the country NSDL and CDSL. CDSL i.e. Central Depository Services Limited is already listed on the stock exchange. NSDL is the largest depository company in the country, which has been preparing to bring IPO for a long time. NSDL was founded in 1996.
