
India Pakistan tension is increasing. Meanwhile, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar spoke to US Secretary of State Marco Rubio on the phone on Saturday (May 10, 2025). S Jaishankar said that India has always been responsible in this matter and whatever action is being taken is accurate and concentrated.
External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar posted on X and told that this morning we have talked to our US Secretary of State and India has informed him about the retaliation being taken against Pakistan. In a statement issued by the US Secretary of State, it has been said that he has appealed to both countries to reduce tension during the phone call and the two countries should resolve the matter by negotiating.
‘America will support America to avoid future disputes’
During a conversation with S Jaishankar, Marco Rubio stressed that both sides need to identify ways to re -establish the dialogue to reduce stress and to avoid wrong estimates. At the same time, he has proposed the support of America to avoid future controversies.

The US Foreign Minister had spoken to S Jaishankar earlier on Thursday as well. Marco Rubio expressed condolences to those killed in a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir on 22 April. He had said that in this fight of terror, America is committed to working with India.
To reduce tension between India and Pakistan, Marco Rubio also spoke to Pakistan Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Army Chief Asim Munir over the phone and they were also asked to reduce stress.
