The video shows that as soon as the MLAs were discussing various topics, Asaduddin Owaisi, who has consistently opposed the Waqf Amendment Bill, appeared laughing loudly. According to the video, Owaisi jokingly said, “… Chairman Saheb will say to the sister -in -law at night,” Whatever you say will be removed, “and Owaisi and others sitting around him laughed loudly. During the debate against the government’s Waqf Amendment Bill in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday (April 2), Owaisi spoke to a copy of the bill. Owaisi demanded at least 10 amendments in this bill and described it as unconstitutional. However, all his proposed amendments lost. Waqf JPC President Jagdambika Pal criticized Owaisi during the session and said that while Owaisi was calling the bill unconstitutional, he himself was doing unconstitutional acts when he torn the bill.

The Waqf Amendment Bill, 2025, after two long debates of two consecutive days – passed in the Lok Sabha and Thursday in the Rajya Sabha on Wednesday. However, a day later, late night, this bill was also approved by President Draupadi Murmu, after which it became a law. The bill was passed by 288–232 votes in the lower house, while in the Upper House it was approved by 128-95 votes. There was a very long discussion in both the houses, which lasted till midnight, as the government adjusted the number of voices. Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the passage of the Waqf (Amendment) Bill and the Muslim Waqf (cancellation) Bill is a significant turn in our collective efforts that are for socio-economic justice, transparency and inclusive development.
