Oyo’s founder Ritesh Aggarwal reached Mahakumbh with his son Aryan, took a dip in the Sangam and shared his old experience on Kumbh.
Ritesh Aggarwal, founder of the country’s famous hotel chain company Oyo Rooms, arrived in Mahakumbh on Tuesday with his son Aryan. There he took a dip in the confluence.
After this, Ritesh also shared a video on his social media handles Instagram and X, in which he shared his old experience of Kumbh and told about the beginning of Oyo.
He said that God has started Oyo. Hundreds of people are now staying in Oyo’s rooms during the journey of Mahakumbh.

Ritesh said- God has done the hotel business
Ritesh said, ‘Mahakumbh is a very personal experience for me. I stayed with a relative when I came last time. Then I felt that it would have been nice to stay in a hotel.
Since then, I have been in my mind to work on a hotel or akmodation business. Today, after so many years, this year’s Mahakumbh Mela when many people are staying with us (in our hotel rooms). I feel that God has done this work to me.
Company started in 2013, profit for the first time in 2024
Oyo was started in 2013 by Ritesh Aggarwal. The company then targeted cheap hotels. They used to go to the hoteliers and connect them with them. After this, he worked on the branding, marketing, technology support, customer management and its look and feel of the hotel. This increased the business of the hotel by 2 times. OYO first made a profit in FY 2024.
