Pahalgam terror attack: The whole country is demanding to take action against Pakistan, the entire country of terrorism over the Pahalgam terror attack. Acting on India, India has taken many important decisions including suspending the Indus Water Treaty. The impact of India’s water-system is now visible on Pakistan. It is reported that after the breakdown of the Indus Water Agreement, Pakistan has started storage of water in Mangla Dam.
This dam leads water to a large part of Pakistan
The Mangla Dam in which Pakistan is storing water is located in Mirpur of PoK and from here a large part of Pakistan goes water. China has also helped Pakistan in making this Mangala Dam, but the effect of this storage is that the supply of water in the canals of Sindh and other provinces of Pakistan has reduced greatly. This is the same Mirpur Dam where in 1971 the Indian Air Force had an airplane over Pakistan.
People are on the streets in Sindh
Due to water shortage in Sindh, people have come out on the streets against the government and are protesting tremendously. The people of Sindh are already upset that the water of the Indus river is being diverted in the new canals built for the Punjab province. Pakistan is scared at this time due to India’s action. Even within the Pakistani political parties, voices have started raising against the decisions of Shahbaz government.
Pakistan remained angry by going to UN and other countries
The former Pakistani Foreign Minister said that the Shahbaz government should not hurry in coming out of the Shimla Agreement. Pakistan has become so nervous due to India’s water strike that he has started to go to UN and other countries. Seeing the current condition of Pakistan, soon the local people will stand against their government.
