Asim Munir has recently been made the field marshal of the Pakistani Army.
Pakistan Army Chief Asim Munir will arrive on a US tour this week. They will attend the 250th anniversary of the US Army at Washington DC on Saturday i.e. 14 June. On this day, US President Donald Trump also has the 79th birthday. A parade will be held on this occasion in the capital Washington.
Munir’s first US visit took place in 2023, when he met the then US Defense Minister Lloyd Austin, the then Foreign Minister Antony Blinkan and UN General Secretary Antonio Guterres.
At that time, India had said that our concerns about terrorism support from Pakistan and cross-border attacks are well known. We hope that other countries will also take serious steps against terrorism.

Imran Khan’s party will oppose Munir in America
The voices of protest have also been heard even before Munir’s visit. Former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s party Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has threatened to protest during the visit.
PTI’s Overseas Affairs Secretary Sajjad Burki appealed to a protest outside the Pakistan Embassy in Washington on Saturday. He wrote on X- Tell the White House that the people of Pakistan will not accept any agreement with this government.
American military officer said- Pakistan strong aide
Before the visit of Munir, America’s notes about Pakistan are also seen to be changed. Michael Kurilla, the head of the Central Command of the US Central Command, says the US needs to maintain relations with both India and Pakistan.
He said that the Pakistani Army is necessary to deal with the danger of Islamic State Khorasan (ISI-K). He made this statement during the hearing of the House Armed Services Committee on Tuesday.
General Kurilla described Pakistan as a strong ally in the fight against terrorism. He said- America will have to have relations with both Pakistan and India. It is not a binary switch that if we keep a relationship with one, you cannot keep it with the other. We should see the benefits of relationships.

Michael Kurilla, head of the US Central Command, said that Pakistan is fighting its ability against terrorism.
India reminds America of Pakistani terrorist Tahavvur Rana
The Indian Ministry of External Affairs replied to the statement of General Kurilla. Ministry spokesman Randhir Jaiswal said that a recent terrorist attack in Pahgam, Jammu and Kashmir is a recent example of cross-border terrorism.
Jaiswal Said that the US has recently extradited Canadian Tahwwur Rana of Pakistani origin of 26/11 Mumbai attacks to India. He also reminded that Pakistan had sheltered Osama bin Laden.
Dr. Shakeel Afridi, who helped Osama find Osama, has been kept in jail by the Pakistan Army so far.
Reports estimate- China factor behind Munir’s visit
According to media reports, the reason for Munir’s visit may also be associated with China. In the past, the closeness of Pakistan and China has increased. America can try to reduce the influence of China by including Munir in its parade.
Apart from this, Pakistan has a stock of lithium, copper, gold and rare minerals, but it has the lack of necessary technology and cost. In such a situation, there can be an opportunity for America in Pakistan. Munir’s visit may also be an attempt to improve stressful security relations between the US and Pakistan.
Asim Munir was made a field marshal last month
Pakistan Army Chief Asim Munir has been promoted by promoting the field martial last month. Field Marshal is the highest position in the Pakistan Army. Munir was promoted to lead the army during Operation Bunyan-Um-Marsus against India.
Earlier in 1959, Ayub Khan declared himself the first field martial after a change of power in Pakistan.
