Pakistan Taliban War: Pakistani army once again attacked Afghanistan in the dark of night, due to which the tension between the two countries is increasing. According to Afghan media, at around 1:30 in the night the Pakistani army attacked in Ali Sher district of Khost province near the Durand Line. Pakistani army fired rockets at Taliban positions, to which Taliban army also responded with heavy weapons. The firing between the two armies continued till 5 in the morning.
Due to this shelling, the local people got scared and went towards safe areas in large numbers. However, till now both the armies have not informed about any casualties.
Attacks have happened before too
Earlier, the Pakistani Army had carried out air strikes in four areas of Afghanistan, in which about 50 people were killed. Pakistan claimed that those killed were TTP (Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan) terrorists, who were preparing to carry out a major attack on Pakistan. In response, the Taliban army also attacked Pakistani posts, in which the Taliban claims that they killed 18 Pakistani soldiers and captured many posts.

TTP terrorists have also released a video of capturing Pakistani posts. At the same time, the Pakistani Army reacted to this and said that they had vacated the posts for strategic reasons.
War like situation between the two countries
These attacks and retaliatory actions between Pakistan and Taliban have created a war-like situation between the two countries. The Taliban has also made it clear that it does not recognize the Durand Line as the border line, which was drawn by the British.
Pakistan’s eyes on chicken-neck Wakhan Corridor
Amidst this tension, Pakistan is now eyeing Afghanistan’s chicken-neck Wakhan Corridor, which connects Afghanistan to China. Recently, the Chief of Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI has visited Tajikistan, due to which it is believed that the Pakistani Army is planning to surround the Taliban.
