
Pakistan vs South Africa Test: South Africa defeated Pakistan by 10 wickets in the Cape Town Test. But Pakistan did a miracle even after losing. He has made a big record. South Africa had given follow-on to Pakistan. Pakistan gave a befitting reply and broke the 136 year old record. Pakistan has become the visiting team with the highest score in the follow-on innings in South Africa. He had scored 478 runs in Cape Town.
Actually South Africa had scored 615 runs in the first innings. During this, Ryan Rickleton scored a double century. He played an innings of 259 runs. Captain Temba Bavuma and Warren scored centuries. In response, Pakistan team was all out on the score of 194 runs in the first innings. South Africa gave him follow-on after this innings. Pakistan scored 478 runs till all out in the second innings.
Pakistan did this for the first time in 136 years –
Pakistan has become the visiting team with the highest score during the follow-on in South Africa. He has made a 136 year old record in his name. Earlier this record was in the name of Australia. Australia scored 372 runs after losing 7 wickets during fall-on in the Johannesburg Test in 1902. But now this record has been registered in the name of Pakistan.
Strong performance of Masood-Babar for Pakistan –
Even though Pakistan lost in the Cape Town Test. But he fought fiercely. Captain Shan Masdu scored a century for him. Masood faced 251 balls and scored 145 runs. During this period he hit 17 fours. Babar Azam played an inning of 81 runs. He hit 10 fours. Salman Agha had contributed 48 runs. Talking about Babar, he had scored a half-century in the first innings also.
