Bangladesh-Pakistan JF-17 Deal India: Bangladesh may soon get JF-17 Thunder fighter aircraft from Pakistan. According to reports, talks regarding this deal are progressing between the two countries. But Bangladesh getting this powerful fighter aircraft during the current political instability can be a cause of concern for India. In this matter, former Pakistani diplomat and former High Commissioner of Pakistan to India, Abdul Basit said, “This is very good news for Pakistan.”
At the same time, taking a dig at India, Basit said that this will make the heartbeats of New Delhi increase. In a video, Basit said, “Relations between Bangladesh and Pakistan are improving. First senior officers of the Bangladeshi Army came to Pakistan and then a delegation led by the chief of Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI visited Dhaka. But India is most troubled by the improving relations between these two countries. India has wanted for a long time that relations between the two should not be good, but now India is failing in its efforts.
,‘India has threatened Bangladesh in a subdued tone’
Former Pakistani diplomat said, “If Bangladesh gets JF-17 from Pakistan, it can be a very important deal. Because JF-17 is currently among the most powerful aircraft in the world. Bangladesh wants to buy this fighter plane because it considers India a concern for its security.
Basit said, “After the fall of Sheikh Hasina, India has threatened Bangladesh several times in hushed tones. India is a big country whereas Bangladesh is a small country. But Bangladesh now wants to protect itself with the help of Pakistan. However, Pakistan and Bangladesh have a common history. There may be tension in the relations between the two countries, but both the countries should move forward from this.”
‘Both countries should form an alliance like NATO’
He said, “I want that Bangladesh and Pakistan should also consider forming a common army and then include other Muslim countries in it. This will be an alliance like NATO and in case of any attack, these countries will come together and help each other.”
