
Pakistan New T20i Captain Salman Agha: Just after the conclusion of the Champions Trophy 2025, Pakistan has to play the series against New Zealand. By announcing the Pak team, PCB has appointed Salman Agha Captain as the new T20 captain. Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam have been discharged from the T20 team against New Zealand, although the selectors have still shown confidence in Shaheen Shah Afridi in both formats.
Right now Pakistan team’s interim head coach Aqib Javed gave a press conference in Lahore and informed about making Salman Aga captain. The most shocking decision is that Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan have been dropped from the T20 team. Aqib Javed said that the team management wants to give the youth a chance. Let us tell you that Naseem Shah and Mohammad Hasnain have also been dropped from T20 squad.
When will Pakistan-New Zealand T20 series be played
The New Zealand team is currently playing in the Champions Trophy 2025, where it is to play a semi -final match against South Africa on 5 March. The T20 series of Pakistan and New Zealand will start from March 16 and by 26 March, five T20 matches will be played between the two teams. Let us tell you that after the T20 series, a series of three ODIs will also be played between the two countries. Pakistan, Champions Trophy, despite being hosts in 2025, could not register a single win and was out in the group stage.
