India-Pakistan News: India strictly dismissed Pakistan’s repeated statements about Jammu and Kashmir during a debate on peace establishment reforms in the United Nations. Describing them as ‘unfair’, India made it clear that Jammu and Kashmir was an integral part of India, and will always be.
Speaking in the United Nations Security Council, India’s permanent representative Ambassador Parvathaneni Harish criticized Pakistan and said that it is trying to divert attention from the main discussions on peace establishment. He said, ‘India considers it necessary to clarify that the representative of Pakistan has once again made unfair remarks on the Indian Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. Such repeated claims neither recognize their illegal claims nor justify terrorism across their state-resonated border.
‘Empty illegal possession’
Harish also clearly stated that Pakistan is illegally occupying a part of Jammu and Kashmir and should be vacated immediately. He said, “Pakistan is illegally occupying the area of Jammu and Kashmir, which should be abandoned.” Along with this, Harish insisted that India will not allow questions on its sovereignty on global forums.
Gave a befitting reply to Pakistan
Harish rejected Pakistan’s efforts to misuse the United Nations Forum for his narrow and divisive agenda, saying, “We would advise Pakistan not to try to divert the attention of this platform.” He also clarified that India does not understand the need to give a detailed response as its situation has already been clarified. He said, “India will refrain from exercising the right to give more detailed answers.”
While the United Nations session focused on reforms in peace establishment, India used this opportunity to emphasize the need to deal with challenges like armed groups and modern weapons, ‘Harish spoke on the important role of the army and police contributing countries in determining the mandate of peace campaigns and stressed the need to provide adequate funds to meet the needs’
