Pakistan PM in World Government Summit 2025: Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi is on a tour of France where he said in the India-France CEO Forum that India is becoming a favorite place for investment and this is the right opportunity for people around the world to invest in India.
When PM Modi was saying this in France, then Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif was in Dubai. During the World Government Summit 2025 held in Dubai, Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif emphasized the country’s economic change and commitment to global peace in his speech. He called for global cooperation to strengthen Pakistan’s economic condition and presented the ambitious goals of clean energy and environmental protection.
Sharif said that Pakistan is targeting 60 percent clean energy mixture and 30 percent electric vehicles by 2030. This will require an investment of $ 100 billion. He said that Pakistan is developing new resources like solar, wind and hydro electricity rapidly. Sharif said, “We are promoting solar energy through policy reforms and investment incentives, making Pakistan a major destination for global capital.”
Global peace and solution to Palestinian conflict
Sharif supported the peaceful solution of the Israeli-Pilistine conflict, with the establishment of an independent Palestinian kingdom with boundaries before 1967. He strongly condemned the violent incidents in Gaza and reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to global peace.
‘Uran Pakistan’ scheme unveiled
Prime Minister Sharif unveiled Pakistan’s new economic strategy ‘Uran Pakistan’. The scheme includes five major areas: exports, e-Pakistan, environment and climate change, energy and infrastructure, and equality and empowerment. He said that keeping in mind the youth population of Pakistan, reforms are being done in the country so that it can become more attractive for international investors.
Environment-friendly farming and climate policy
Sharif also discussed Pakistan’s environment-friendly agricultural practices and water-efficient irrigation techniques. He informed that there is a plan to send 1000 Pakistani agricultural graduates to China for training in advanced agricultural techniques. This step is being taken to integrate climate-smart technologies in the country.
