Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a meeting with Indonesia President Prabovo Subianto at Hyderabad House in Delhi on Saturday. Before the meeting, PM Modi warmly welcomed Prabovo and the two leaders joined hands.
In his address after the meeting, PM Modi said that,

“Indonesia was the chief guest country on India’s first Republic Day. It is a matter of great pride for us that when we are celebrating the completion of 75 years of the Republic, Indonesia is once again part of this historical occasion. I am the President I welcome Prabovo Subianto to India. ”
Posting on X, Foreign Ministry spokesman Randhir Jaiswal said that the discussion between the two leaders will further strengthen the relations between India and Indonesia. Jaiswal described it as a move to carry forward relations with an important partner of “India’s’ Act East” policy.

Guard of Honor welcome at Rashtrapati Bhavan
President Prabovo reached Rashtrapati Bhavan on Saturday morning, where he was welcomed with Guard of Honor. Prabovo met President Draupadi Murmu and PM Narendra Modi here. In this meeting, there was talk of strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries and increasing defense and business cooperation.
During this, Prabovo said,

Indonesia considers India a very good friend. India was one of the first countries, perhaps the first country that recognized our freedom, supported us in our struggle for freedom, we will never forget what India did to help us.
President Prabovo committed to increase close cooperation and partnership with India. Expressing the joy of becoming the chief guest on Republic Day, Prabovo said to feel twice as honored.

Prabovo will be on a state tour on 25 and 26 January.
