Sub Inspector Radheshyam Khatana of Kotwali police station said that information was received about cattle smuggling from Madhya Pradesh towards Agra. On this, the team of head constables Girish Kumar and Krishna Poonia along with ASI Jagdish Prasad of the police station blocked the Chambal check post located on Madhya Pradesh border on Agra-Mumbai National Highway No. 44. Meanwhile, when the police stopped and checked the trucks mentioned by the informer, they found 70 animals crammed into all three trucks.
Police arrested the accused present in the truck, Islam Khan (36), son of Wapati, resident of Morena, Madhya Pradesh, Karan (20), son of Chandu, resident of Agra, Uttar Pradesh along with Shehzad (32), son of Ahmed Saeed, resident of Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh. The three accused were loading animals in trucks and taking them to Uttar Pradesh. Against whom a case has been registered under the Animal Cruelty Act.
