Prithvi Shaw On Arjun Tendulkar: Recently, Mumbai Cricket Association celebrated the 50th anniversary of Wankhede Stadium with great pomp. On this occasion, former captains of Mumbai cricket team were honored. Now another grand program will be organized at Wankhede Stadium on 19th January. Current cricketers of Mumbai will be seen in this event. However, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Wankhede Stadium, young opener batsman Prithvi Shaw was also seen present. During this, the young batsman shared his old memories related to Wankhede Stadium. He also told when he had come to this historic stadium for the first time.
‘He came here for the first time with Arjun Tendulkar…’
Prithvi Shaw said that he had come to Wankhede Stadium for the first time to watch the final match of the 2011 World Cup. The final match was played between India and Sri Lanka. Under the captaincy of Dhoni, Team India won the title by defeating Sri Lanka. He said that he had come here for the first time with Arjun Tendulkar. Arjun Tendulkar’s father Sachin Tendulkar was also in the playing eleven of the World Cup 2011 final. He also said that I can never forget my first memory of this stadium. When I came here to watch the World Cup final match, I was only 11 years old.
‘I can never forget that moment when Team India…’
Prithvi Shaw said that Arjun and I sat together and watched the final match live. I can never forget that moment when Team India lifted the trophy. As a child, I always wished that I would get a chance to play at Wankhede Stadium someday and now look, we are celebrating the 50th anniversary of this stadium. I think this special occasion should be celebrated together. I request the people of Mumbai to come on 19th January and make the program special.
