New Delhi, December 13 (Language) Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) IT department head Amit Malviya said on Friday that Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra’s first speech in the Lok Sabha is an indication that she will support her brother and opposition leader Rahul Gandhi. This could be the “biggest threat” to Gandhi’s political career.
In her 32-minute speech in the Lower House, Priyanka Gandhi raised several opposition issues, including BJP’s alleged attempts to change the Constitution, the “growing monopoly” of a single group, atrocities on women, incidents of violence in Sambhal and Manipur and The demand included a nationwide caste census.
Commenting on Priyanka’s speech, Malviya said in a post on ‘X’, “If Priyanka Vadra’s maiden speech is any indication, she is the biggest threat to Rahul Gandhi’s political career, not just his future successor.” But also as someone who can surpass him in raising the level of lightness in public discussion.
While participating in the debate on the Constitution in the Lok Sabha, Priyanka, elected MP from Wayanad, Kerala, made a sharp attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the government and said sarcastically that perhaps the Prime Minister has not understood that the Constitution is not the ‘Constitution of the Union’.
He said that the Constitution is the safeguard of justice, unity and freedom of expression, but the BJP-led government has made every possible effort to break it in the last 10 years. He said that if the results of the Lok Sabha elections had not been like this, this government would have worked to change the Constitution.
At the same time, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi and many other leaders praised Priyanka’s first speech in the Lok Sabha and said that she ‘has shown the mirror to the government.’
Praising Priyanka Gandhi’s speech, Rahul Gandhi told reporters, “It was better than my first speech.”
