Launching a scathing attack on the Congress, the BJP on Monday alleged that Rahul Gandhi “took advantage” of the demise of former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh for his own “political gains” and while the entire nation is mourning his demise, Then Rahul went to Vietnam to celebrate New Year.
The Congress hit back and asked, “When will the Sanghis stop the politics of distraction?” BJP’s IT cell chief Amit Malviya said in a post on ‘X’, “When the entire country is mourning the demise of Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh. While he was mourning, Rahul Gandhi went to Vietnam to celebrate the New Year.

He alleged that Rahul Gandhi “took advantage” of Dr Singh’s demise for his “convenient politics”. The BJP leader said Rahul’s “disrespect” towards Singh cannot be ignored. Malviya alleged, “Gandhi and Congress hate Sikhs. Never forget that Indira Gandhi had defiled Darbar Sahib.
Congress leader Manickam Tagore reacted sharply and wrote in a post on ‘X’, “When will the Sanghis stop this politics of distraction?” His refusal to give space on the beach and his ministers not giving space to the former Prime Minister’s family was “shameful”. On the Vietnam visit, the Congress leader asked Malviya, “If Gandhi travels personally, what problem do you have with it?”
