Tata Power’s ₹1.2 lakh crore investment roadmap aims to make Rajasthan a power surplus state, which includes renewable energy projects (solar, wind and hybrid projects) as well as rooftop solar, transmission and distribution and EV charging infrastructure. This investment is expected to create 28,000 jobs and provide 24/7 clean, affordable electricity to the people of Rajasthan.

Rajasthan is home to the largest solar parks in the country and is one of the top states in terms of installed renewable capacity. The solar capacity in the state exceeds 18GW, making it a leading state in India. The state is well positioned to play a key role in achieving India’s target of achieving 500GW renewable energy capacity by 2047. Currently Tata Power has renewable installations of 1000 MW in solar and 185 MW in wind power. Under the “Ghar Ghar Solar Initiative”, Tata Power will target 10 lakh households for rooftop solar installations, implementing around 50,000 installations per month.

Dr. Praveer Sinha said that this summit is a symbol of a bold vision for the sustainable development of Rajasthan. Tata Power is proud to be a partner in this journey, driving innovation and creating sustainable value for the people of Rajasthan. He also said that Tata Power’s clean energy roadmap for the state will significantly contribute to India’s goal of becoming net-zero carbon by 2070 and boost the state’s aspiration to emerge as the next clean energy hub.
