Why did Rohit Sharma drop?
Regular Indian captain Rohit Sharma took part in three matches of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, in which he appeared a complete flop. While batting in 5 innings of three matches, Rohit’s high score was 10 runs. After his poor form in the fourth Test of the series played in Melbourne, the discussion intensified that Rohit Sharma could be dropped in the last Test played in Sydney and the same happened. Rohit Sharma was out of the Sydney Test.
Bumrah was the captain in the first test also
It is noteworthy that even in the first test of the series played in Perth, Jasprit Bumrah was seen commanding Team India. Rohit Sharma was not available for the Perth Test, due to which vice-captain Bumrah took over the responsibility of captaincy. The thing to note is that under the captaincy of Bumrah, Team India had won the Perth Test by 295 runs. Now it will be interesting to see what is the result of the Sydney Test under the captaincy of Bumrah.
