From today, the 19 kg commercial gas cylinder has become cheaper by ₹ 58.50. Its price in Delhi decreased to ₹ 1665. Earlier it was available in ₹ 1723.50. In Mumbai, it is getting reduced by ₹ 58 to ₹ 1616.50, earlier its price was ₹ 1674.50.

1. Rail journey expensive: ₹ 20 more in AC on 1000 km journey

The journey of rail has become expensive from today. Fare of non-AC mail/express trains has been increased by 1 paise per kilometer and AC class fares by 2 paise per kilometer. This decision has been taken in view of the increasing expenses in front of the railway and the cost of maintenance.

What will happen with this: Railways has increased the fares of non-AC mail/express trains by 1 paise per km. At the same time, there will be an increase of 2 paise per km for AC class (eg AC 2-Tier, AC 3-Tier).

That is, if you are traveling 500 km, you may have to pay 5 rupees more in non-AC and 10 rupees more in AC. At the same time, on a journey of 1000 km, you have to pay 20 rupees in AC and 10 rupees more in non AC.

2. Tatkal ticket booking: Aadhaar has to link to IRCTC account

At the time of Tatkal ticket booking, passengers will now be required to get digital verification from Aadhaar. That is, you have to link your Aadhaar to IRCTC account. Aadhaar verified users will get OTP during ticket booking, which will be able to book the ticket by completing the verification.

The first 10 minutes before the immediate booking window opens will be allowed to book tickets, whose IRCTC account is verified by Aadhaar. In the first 10 minutes of opening the window, even the authorized agents of IRCTC will not be able to book tickets, which will stop the entry of brokers and bots.

What will happen with this: With this change, needy and right passengers will be able to get confirmed tickets. This will curb fake IDs, rigging of agents and booking of bots and it will be easy to get confirmed tickets for common passengers.

3. PAN Card Rules: If you do not have Aadhaar, you will not be able to make PAN card

The government has changed the PAN card rules. Aadhaar card has become mandatory by applying for PAN card from 1 July 2025. If you do not have Aadhaar, you will not be able to make a PAN card.

What will happen with this: The government says that this will curb tax evasion.

PAN card will be made in 10 minutes

  • Step 3: Fill the Aadhaar number. This should be the number link to the mobile.
  • Step 4: Verify by adding OTP linked to Aadhaar.
  • Step 5: Information related to Aadhaar will be filled automatically in the system. Click on the ‘Submit’ button.
  • Step 6: E-PAN card will be made immediately if the information is correct.
  • Step 7: PAN number and other information will come on SMS/mail.
  • Step 8: You can download your e-PAN card from the link given on the website. This process is very easy and fast.
  • Step 9: To get it, you have to pay 107 rupees. It may take 15 to 30 days to arrive the card.

4. UPI Transaction: Now the name of the real receiver will be seen while making payment

NPCI has implemented a new rule under which the user will see only the banking name of ultimat benefits. QR code or edited names will no longer be seen. These rules were asked to implement all UPI apps by 30 June.

What will be the benefit out of this: This will help stop online fraud and stop things like money transfer on wrong number.

5. Mg’s car expensive: The company increased prices by 1.5%

If you are planning to buy a Mg car, now you have to pay more money for it. JSW-MG Motor India has announced an increase in the prices of its cars by 1.5%. This increase will vary on all models of the company.

Why did the company do this: The company has taken this decision for the second time in 7 months due to increasing raw material and operational cost. Earlier, from 1 January 2025, Mg had increased the car prices by up to 3%.

6. Gas cylinder cheap: Commercial cylinder price reduced to ₹ 58.50
