President Vladimir Putin has suddenly announced a ceasefire amidst the Russia-Ukraine War. He has announced a 3-day ceasefire from 8-10 May. This announcement has been made in Moscow about the memory of the Victory Day of World War II.
Kremlin said in a statement, ‘Russian side is announcing a ceasefire from midnight of 7-8 May to midnight of May 7-8 during the 80th anniversary of Victory Day. All war campaigns will be postponed during this period. & Nbsp;
‘Russian armed forces on violation of ceasefire will answer’
Russia believes that the Ukrainian side should follow this example. The statement further stated that the Russian armed forces will respond enough and effectively in the event of a violation of the ceasefire made by the Ukrainian side. & nbsp;
A statement issued by Russia said that it is ready for creative cooperation with international partners for the disposal of war with Ukraine.
This new proposal to stop war has come at a time when Russia is preparing to celebrate the anniversary of Vijay Day on 9 May with a military parade on Moscow’s Red Square. Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered the abolition of enmity on humanitarian grounds for Victory Day. The ceasefire will start from 00.00 pm on 8 May and will run till May 10. & nbsp;
This announcement by Putin has been made amidst the efforts being made for the peace agreement of US President Donald Trump in Ukraine. Putin then refused to accept the unconditional ceasefire by connecting Ukraine’s interruption in the supply of Western weapons and the mobilization attempt of Ukraine.
