There was a meeting between the US and Russia on Monday regarding the ceasefire in Ukraine. Regarding this, the Russian State Media Interfax has informed that both countries have not reached any consent on the issue of ceasefire.
Interfax quoted Vladimir Chizhov, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Federation Council Defense and Security Committee, as saying that no agreement was adopted in view of Ukraine’s position.
Chizhov said that it was amazing that the teams of both countries sat for 12 hours and it seemed that she had agreed to the joint statement. But in view of the status of Ukraine, that statement was not adopted.
Representatives of the two countries held a meeting at Hotel Ridge Carlton in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Kremlin spokesperson said- No concrete plan was made regarding ceasefire
Kremlin spokesperson Dimitri Peskov said no concrete plan has been prepared regarding the ceasefire. There will be many more rounds of meetings. He said that whatever results came out of the meeting with American officials in Riyadh, it has been conveyed to the presidents of both countries. Now both countries will think about this. The Kremlin will not make the details of this meeting public.
Peskov said that we are only talking about technical agreements. Currently, there is no plan for direct talks between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump. But if needed, the conversation can be done immediately.
Peskov said that representatives of both countries will remain connected, but it is difficult to say anything concrete right now. Right now there is no plan to hold a three -way meeting between Russia, Ukraine and the US.
Ukrainian and US representatives held a meeting on Monday
On Monday, US officials interacted with Ukraine representatives before meeting Russian representatives. Both officials discussed proposals related to the security of power plants. The US has already proposed to Ukraine to hand over the power plants (energy bases) to the US.
Ukraine President Volodimir Jailonsky said in a statement on TV that the conversation was quite useful. According to Ukraine’s Defense Minister Rustem Umerov, the purpose of this conversation is to strengthen peace and security soon. At the same time, Jailonsky asked his associate countries, especially America, to order Putin to stop the attack.
Russia-Ukraine has exchanged soldiers

March 11: Russia’s President’s Office laid 4 conditions for ceasefire. It demanded that Ukraine should not join NATO and recognize Russia’s possession on Ukraine land. Intelligence agencies from Western countries suggested that Putin’s terms could be a strategy to avoid ceasefire.
12 March: Ukraine dismissed Russia’s terms, stating that it would threaten its conflict.
March 13: Putin thanked US President Donald Trump for the ceasefire proposal. Putin also agreed to the ceasefire’s proposal, but also laid the conditions with it. Putin said that the reason of long -term peace and war should be over the ceasefire.
During this time, American special envoy Steve Witchoff was also present in Russia. He spoke on the ceasefire with Russia officials.
March 14: Trump said that there was a good conversation with Russia President Vladimir Putin to stop the Ukraine war. He said that it is expected that this war will end very soon.

Russia has seized about 20% of Ukraine in the last three years. President Putin has included Donnetsk, Luhansk, Japorizia and Kherason in Ukraine in Russia. Whereas there is conflict between the two armies in the Kursk area of Russia.
