In an incident that sent shock waves in the industry, actor Saif Ali Khan was injured while trying to fend off burglars that barged into his Bandra home late last night.
According to sources, Saif fought with the guy without a weapon to protect his family. It was middle of the night and he fought tough, getting injured in the process.
On the other hand, Dr Niraj Uttamani, COO of Lilavati Hospital said that Saif Ali Khan was stabbed by an unidentified person at his Bandra home and was brought in at 3.30 am.

Uttamani said that Saif has six stabs and two are deep. Of this one is close to spine. He is being operated upon by team of doctors led by Neurosurgeon Dr Nitin Dange, cosmetic surgeon Dr Leena Jain, and anesthesiologist Dr Nisha Gandhi.

Later, the Mumbai police detained three people working in actor Saif Ali Khan’s house following an attack on him at his residence.
The three were taken to the police station where they were being interrogated, according to IANS.
Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor and his sons celebrated the New Year in Switzerland. The actor and his family returned to Mumbai last week.
Khan’s team issued an official statement, saying that he’s currently in hospital undergoing surgery, and also confirmed that there was an attempted burglary. “An unknown person entered Actor Saif Ali Khan’s residence and argued with his maid, late last night. When the actor tried to intervene and pacify the man, he attacked Saif Ali Khan and injured him. Police are investigating the matter,” Mumbai Police confirmed. in a statement to ANI.
A senior IPS officer confirmed the incident and said that the Mumbai crime branch is also conducting a parallel investigation into the incident.
Kareena and Saif, who have been married since 2012, live in the Satguru Sharan building in Mumbai’s Bandra West with their two sons – Taimur (8) and Jeh (4).
