Sam Konstas on Cancer: In the Sydney Test, the Australian team came out wearing a pink jersey and the Indian team did the same on the third day of the match. Actually, both the teams did this to spread awareness about breast cancer. Sydney Test also holds a special place in Sam Constance’s heart. Years ago, the wife of legendary player Glenn McGrath died due to cancer, in her memory the match to be held in Sydney is called ‘Pink Test’. But Constance also had to lose someone very close to her due to cancer.
Sam Constas expressed grief in a media interview, saying, “The Sydney Test is very special, I hope that together with the McGrath Foundation we can spread more awareness about cancer and raise more funds. I remember my cousin’s death. It was caused by cancer and my grandfather had intestinal cancer, so I hope that we can spread more awareness about cancer.”
Jasprit clashed with Bumrah in Sydney Test
Sam Constus and Jasprit Bumrah clashed with each other in India vs Australia Sydney Test. This incident happened when Usman Khawaja was taking more time to take his guard, due to which Bumrah came forward and expressed his disappointment. Meanwhile, Constance was also seen saying something to the Indian fast bowler. Later, when Bumrah got Khawaja caught in the slip, Bumrah looked at Constance with a sharp look.
Well Constance said on that incident, “It didn’t bother me much. Unfortunately Khawaja got out. He was trying to buy us some time. It was probably my fault, but this is cricket and it happens often here. Congratulations to Bumrah for taking that wicket.”
