Here, Maruti Suzuki India has announced to increase the prices of cars of all models from Rs 1,500 to Rs 32,500 from February 1, 2025. 2. Maruti cars costlier by Rs 32,500: Prices applicable from next month, company said – no option other than passing the burden on customers

Maruti Suzuki India has announced a price increase. This increase varies on all models of the company’s lineup. The new prices will be applicable from 1 February 2025. Maruti has said that the prices will be increased from Rs 1,500 to Rs 32,500.
Earlier in January also, the company had increased prices by up to 4% on all the models in its line-up. Maruti has taken this decision due to increasing input and operational costs. The company says that it has no option left but to pass on some of the burden to its customers.

3. Different fares on booking through iPhone and Android of Ola-Uber: CCPA sent notice, said- tell the process for determining the fare.

There will be a difference in fare if you book a cab on Ola or Uber from Android phone or iPhone. The Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) has sent a notice to cab aggregators Ola and Uber on Thursday.
Consumer Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi said on social media that the Consumer Affairs Department has taken note of the issue and has instructed the CCPA to investigate. Complainants had said that the fare is shown higher on some phone models, while lower on others.

Adani Group company Adani Energy Solutions has made a net profit (consolidated net profit) of Rs 562 crore in the third quarter of the financial year 2024-25. There has been an increase of 73% on annual basis. The company had made a profit of Rs 325 crore in the same quarter a year ago.
Talking about operational revenue, it stood at Rs 5,830 crore in the October-December quarter. There has been an increase of 28% on annual basis. The company had generated a revenue of Rs 4,563 crore in the third quarter of the financial year 2023-24. The amount received from selling goods and services is called revenue.

5. Hindustan Petroleum’s profit increased 6 times in the third quarter: Rs 3,023 crore, total income Rs 1.19 lakh crore; Shares fell 10% in a month

Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) has made a profit (consolidated net profit) of Rs 3,023 crore in the third quarter of the financial year 2024-25. There has been an increase of 471% on annual basis. That means it has increased almost 6 times compared to the same quarter last year. A year ago, during October-December, the company had made a profit of Rs 529 crore.
The company has generated a consolidated revenue of Rs 1,18,410 crore in the October-December quarter. There is a slight increase of 0.35% compared to last year. In October-December 2024, the company had generated revenue of Rs 1,17,986 crore. The amount received from selling goods and services is called revenue.

6. Earning up to ₹ 10 lakh can be tax-free: A new income tax slab can also be found in the budget, currently income up to ₹ 7.75 lakh is tax-free.

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman can give big relief to income tax payers while presenting the budget of 2025-26 on 1 February. According to sources, the government can give tax exemption to income taxpayers earning up to Rs 20 lakh.
For this, two options are currently being considered. First – to make annual income up to Rs 10 lakh tax-free and second – to create a new tax slab of 25% for those with income of Rs 15 to 20 lakh. However, this exemption is being prepared to be given only to those in the new tax regime.
