The stock market is a boom on the third trading day of the week today i.e. on Wednesday (March 12). The Sensex is trading at 74,350 with a gain of around 250 points. The Nifty is up for 50 points, trading at 22,550.
Of the 30 shares of the Sensex, there is a rise in 20 and a decline in 10. Airtel shares up 2.16%, Jomato 1.85% and Tata Motors 1.64%. At the same time, IndusInd Bank shares fall from 4.12%, 3% in Infosys and 1.20% in TCS.
US market declines
- In Asian markets, Japan’s Nikkei is doing 0.29% and Hong Kong’s Hangseng Index is up with a gain of 0.069%. Whereas, China’s Shanghai Composite declines by 0.053%.
- On March 11, Foreign Investors (FIIs) sold shares worth Rs 2,823.76 crore. During this period, domestic investors (DIIs) bought shares worth Rs 2,001.79 crore.
- On March 11, the US Dow Jones fell 1.14% to 41,433, S&P 500 fell 0.76% to 5,572 and Nasdaq Composite fell 0.18% to close at 17,436.
There was a slight decline in the market on Tuesday
The impact of a decline of up to 4% in US markets was not shown on the Indian markets on Tuesday (March 11). The Sensex closed at 74,102 with a slight fall of 12 points. The Nifty rose by 37 points. It closed at 22,497.
In the morning, the Sensex fell nearly 400 points to a low of 73,663. The Nifty also slipped more than 100 points. Nifty made a day-lo of 22,314.
Realty shares were the biggest faster. The Nifty Realty Index closed up 3.63%. The oil and gas index rose by 1.21%. The metal index closed up 0.53%. Private bank shares have the biggest decline. The private bank index has fallen 1.38%.
