Pakistan’s embarrassment
When Pakistan team came out to chase the target of 184 runs, captain Mohammad Rizwan led the team from one end, but Babar Azam continued on the score of zero. Sam Ayyub definitely supported Rizwan for some time by playing a stormy inning of 31 runs, but immediately after the powerplay, he also returned to the pavilion. Rizwan scored 74 runs in this match. Thanks to the lethal bowling of George Linde and Quena Mafaka, Africa was successful in winning the match by 11 runs.
Pakistan’s T20 record in the year 2024 has not been very good. If we talk about this year itself, Pakistan has played 26 T20 matches so far, in which it has suffered 16 defeats against 9 wins. Recently it also had to face defeat from Zimbabwe in the T20 match. In fact, if captain Rizwan had batted with a better strike rate, the Pakistan team could have easily won this match.
