An alleged Hinduist organization in Vrindavan, Uttar Pradesh has demanded Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to ban the entry of Muslims in the programs to be held on Holi in Braj region. At the same time, Samajwadi Party (SP) MP from Ballia Sanatan Pandey has said that such demands are not a follower of Lord Krishna. He accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of trying to divide Hindus and Muslims for power.
The national president of the Dharmaksha Sangh, Saurabh Gaur, said in a statement issued here on Sunday, ‘Recently, it was seen in Bareilly that people of Muslim society are threatening our people. In such a situation, the Dharmaksha Sangh has decided that we will ban the entry of people of Muslim society during Holi celebrations at the Braj region at the pilgrimage centers like Mathura, Vrindavan, Nandgaon, Barsana, Gokul, Dauji etc. Gaur said, ‘Holi is a festival of love and harmony for Sanatan society. We do not want any person of Muslim society to trade colors and gulals on the pretext of Holi and try to enter the crowd of Holi and try to hurdle.
Jihadis should also be kept away from garba: Acharya Badrish
Acharya Badrish, the national convenor of the organization, said, ‘I demand from Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on behalf of Dharmaksha Sangh that just as jihadis and separatists were kept away from garba dance in states like Gujarat, Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh, similarly they should be kept away from Holi, a festival full of Brajmandal’s love, because when they have objections from colorful, what do they need here.’ However, he also said, ‘If these people (Muslim society) give written assurance to Hindu society, then we have no objection to their joining. If Hindu society wants, these people can come, otherwise they should be kept away. The government should manage it. A similar statement has also come from Dinesh Sharma, a prosecutor related to the Sri Krishna Janmabhoomi-Shahi Idgah dispute.
CM Yogi wrote a letter with blood
Like many other occasions, Sharma has allegedly written a letter to the Chief Minister this time, demanding a ban on the involvement of Muslims in Braj’s Holi. On the statements of the Dharmaksha Sangh, Tanveer Ahmed, the secretary of the royal Idgah arrangement and the royal Idgah-Krishna Janmabhoomi case, said Tanveer Ahmed, the advocate of the Muslim side, ‘The festival of Holi has been celebrated in Braj with love and belonging. There is an atmosphere of complete peace and harmony here. Nobody has ever complained to anyone for centuries.
Such statements that create discrimination: SP MP
He said, ‘In Braj, examples of Krishna devotees like Mahakavi Rasakhan and Taj Bibi are given. The government has also renovated their samadhi sago, giving their feelings. Ahmed said, ‘An example of humanity was also presented during the recently concluded Mahakumbh. The Muslims gave shelter to the devotees who came for bathing at their shrines, arranged for their catering. Holi in Braj will be celebrated with peace and harmony. There has been a tradition of hugging each other and congratulating each other. Such statements are going to create distinction.
SP MP retaliated on Hinduist organizations
He said, ‘This can be his (Dharmaksha Sangh) personal statement. It is the work of the government to respond to the kind of demand he has made from the government. SP MP Sanatan Pandey, while talking to reporters at the district headquarters on Sunday, retaliated against the official of the Hinduist organization demanding a ban on the entry of Muslims in the Holi celebrations. Pandey said, ‘The Constitution of India does not allow anyone from joining a program on the basis of religion and caste. I condemn them for this demand. ‘
