Dr. Pawan Goenka, Chairman of IN-Space, has said that most of the formalities of regulatory and licensing regarding Starlinks have been completed.
Ilon Musk’s company SpaceX is going to start Starlink Satellite Internet Service in a few days. Space Regulator Indian National Space Promotion and Authorization Center i.e., Dr. Pawan Goenka, Chairman of IN-Space, has said that most of the regulatory and licensing formalities have been completed regarding Starlink.
According to Dr. Goenka, now there are only a few last approvals left, which will be found in the next few days. Recently, SpaceX President Gwin Shotwell came to India. He met Dr. Goenka. In this meeting, there was talk on the remaining issues related to Starlink’s launching.
However, Dr. Goenka also made it clear that even after getting approval, it may take a few more months for Starlink Service to start. He said that even after the authorization, many technical and procedural steps have to be completed. Goenka is somewhere in the interview to NDTV.
License got license from telecom department
Earlier, SpaceX has got the license of the Telecom Department to operate Starlink Satellite Internet Service in India. Now he is just waiting for the approval of in-space. Starlink is the third company that has got a license to operate satellite internet service in India.
Earlier, OneWeb and Reliance Jio were approved. According to media reports, Starlink will give unlimited data for a month for Rs 840 in India. The company’s company has not officially informed about this.
