The stock market is a boom on today i.e. Thursday, May 29, the fourth trading day of the week. The Sensex is trading at the level of 81,540 by climbing about 250 points. The Nifty also has a gain of about 50 points, it is at 24,800 levels.
Of the 30 shares of the Sensex, 24 are rose and 6 declines in 6. Infosys, Tech Mahindra and Tata Steel are about 2% above. UltraTech Cement, Nestle India and Bajaj Finance are slight decline.
Out of 50 shares of Nifty, 36 are rose and 15 declines. The IT index of NSE has a rise of 1.5% and metal 0.80%. At the same time, there is a slight decline in FMCG, realty and consumer durables.
Global market declines
- In Asian markets, Japan’s Nikkei is trading at 633 points (1.68%) to 38,356 and Korea’s Kospi is trading at 2,716 above 46 points (1.71%).
- Hong Kong’s Hangseng index is trading at around 200 points (0.90%) at 23,450 and China’s Shanghai Composite climbing around 25 points (0.75%) to 3,340.
- On May 23, the US Dow Jones fell 244 points to 42,099, Nasdaq Composite below 98 points at 19,101 and S&P 500 also fell 33 points (0.67%) to close at 5,889.
Domestic investors bought shares worth 1,746 crore on May 28
- On May 28, Foreign Investors (Fiis) purchased Rs 4,663 crore in the cash segment and domestic investors (DIS) purchased Rs 7,912 crore.
- So far, foreign investors have purchased Rs 17,339 crore in the cash segment and Rs 54,260 crore in the cash segment.
- Net purchases of foreign investors in April stood at Rs 2,735.02 crore. Domestic investors also purchased a net of ₹ 28,228.45 crore in a month.
The stock market was declining yesterday
The stock market declined yesterday i.e. May 28. The Sensex fell by 239 points to close at 81,312 levels. The Nifty also declined by around 73 points, it closed at 24,752 levels. 19 out of 30 shares of Sensex declined and 11 declined.
