The Sensex is trading at 77,110 with a decline of more than 400 points on the first trading day of the week today i.e. on 3 February. The Nifty also falls by 150 points, it is trading at the level of 23,341.
Of the 30 shares of Sensex, 21 declines and 9 declines. Out of 50 shares of Nifty, 45 declines and 5 declines. All sectors in the NSE Sectoral Index are trading with a decline. The metal sector is trading the most with a decline of 3.19%.
Foreign investors sold shares worth ₹ 1,327.09 crore
According to NSE data, on February 1, Foreign Investors (FIIS) sold shares worth Rs 1,327.09 crore. During this period, domestic investors (DIIs) bought shares worth Rs 824.38 crore.
The market was closed on Saturday
Earlier, after the budget was presented on Saturday i.e. February 1, the Sensex closed 5 points to close at 77,505. The Nifty had a downfall of 26 points, it closed at 23,482 levels. The market for the budget was specially opened on Saturday.
At the same time, BSE Midcap closed down 212 points to close at 42,884. The Sensex had a rise in 16 out of 30 shares and a decline in 14. Out of 50 shares of Nifty, 29 declined and 22 were rose.
