Sunita williams return: The US space agency NASA’s veteran astronaut Sunita Williams and his colleague Buch Wilmore return to Earth on 19 March 2025 after an eight -month long space mission.
Sunita Williams, with her colleagues Barry ‘Buch’ Wilmore and Nick Hague, will share your space mission experience at a post-flight news conference on IST (2:30 PM on 31 March) at 12:00 pm on 1 April 2025. In fact, Sunita Williams and Buch Wilmore went to a week’s mission in June 2024 last year, but due to technical fault in the Boeing Starlineer spacecraft, they remained stuck there and their mission increased by 9 months. He recently returned to Earth on 19 March 2025.
Major data of mission
According to NASA, Williams and Wilmore traveled 121,347,491 miles during their mission, spent 286 days in space and completed 4,576 circumambulations around the Earth. Hague and Gourbunov traveled 72,553,920 miles during their mission, spent 171 days in space and completed 2,736 orbit around the Earth.
During their long stay in the ISS, Hague, Williams and Wilmore spent more than 900 hours of research, with more than 150 different experiments. He examined the growth and growth of plants, detected the ability of stem cell techniques to improve patient care on earth and contributed to the study on how the space of space affects the degradation of the atomophyric materials.
900 hours research work in ISS
During the mission, more than 900 hours of scientific experiments were worked on.
Research was done on plant growth and growth.
NASA’s live coverage
This conference can be seen live on NASA and other platforms like Roku, Hulu, DirectTV, YouTube, Facebook and Twitch. In this conference, Williams and Wilmore will discuss their long migration experiences, scientific experiments and challenges. However, Gorbunov will not join because of his program.
