1 lakh tourists come every year
According to the Tourism Department, an average of about 1 lakh tourists from other districts and states come to visit the district every year. Muzaffar Ali, President of Shatabdi Welfare Society, said that most of the one lakh tourists plan to stay the night in Udaipur. If home stay facility is definitely available in the villages situated amidst the islands and hills spread in the rest of the backwater area in Banswara district, then the number of tourists will increase because the islands and hilly areas are natural, where people would like to live. .
Many villages of Banswara will benefit
Collector Dr. Inderjit Yadav said that the Central Government has started this scheme by taking a very good initiative. The people of Banswara should take advantage of this scheme because there is good potential for tourism in the Mahi backwater area. Along with Vagad, gradually people from other districts and states have also started coming to visit here. This is a good opportunity for the local people living in the islands and hilly areas spread in the backwater area. The District Administration and Tourism Department will call people from potential tourism villages in a workshop at the local level and give them information about the scheme.
