Cyber Attack: A worrying news has come out for Tesla car owners in America. Hackers have made private information of thousands of Tesla owners by creating a website called ‘Dogequest’. The names, addresses and phone numbers of car owners have been made public on this website. Not only this, there is also an interactive map on the website, in which the location of Tesla dealership and charging stations has also been exposed. These data leaks can pose a serious threat to the safety of Tesla owners.
The most shocking thing is that a molotov cocktail (fire bomb) is being shown on the website as a cursor. In view of this, experts believe that this is not only a case of cyber attack but can also be a conspiracy to intimidate and threaten Tesla owners.
Hackers kept strange condition
In this cyber attack, hackers have also laid a condition. They claim that they will remove the information of Tesla car owners only when they prove that they have sold their electric car. This case also becomes serious because the incident took place at a time when Tesla CEO Alan Musk has become the head of the US Government’s new department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) and is continuously bringing out the extravagance by the former US governments.
Doge employees also got information leaked
In addition to leaking information of Tesla car owners, hackers have also made private information about the employees of American government department DOGE. However, it is not yet clear from where the data of Tesla car owners leaked.
After this incident, Alan Musk has reacted sharply to the social media platform X. Describing this cyber attack as ‘extremist domestic terrorism’, he said that giving such threats to destroy Tesla is a serious crime. Musk also said that the matter will be investigated thoroughly and strict action will be taken against the culprits.
