Jaipur GRP police station has arrested a vicious criminal today. Gangaram, the accused caught by GRP, is addicted to theft in trainee. The accused had stolen a bag containing jewelery worth Rs 4 lakh in the train. After which the victim informed the GRP police station.

GRP police station CI Virendra Kuril said that the accused committed theft with Mamta Devi, a resident of Gujarat, who was traveling in an AC coach in the Sabarmati train. The woman’s purse contained jewellery, coins and mobile phones worth lakhs of rupees. The accused entered the AC coach and stole it and fled away. Based on Mamat’s report, the police station registered an FIR against unknown miscreants and started investigation. On the basis of CCTV footage installed in the coach, the police identified the miscreant and raided various places to search for him. On which the accused Gangaram was caught by the police today. During preliminary interrogation, the accused told that he has been committing theft in trains for the last several years. The accused along with many people carried out the incident of salmon theft. He used to commit crimes especially in AC coaches. At night, when all the passengers used to sleep, the accused would take advantage of that and steal their bags, purses and mobiles. Due to fear of being caught, the accused would throw the stolen mobile phones in an open place. The accused will be produced before the court and taken on remand.
