Commissioner South T Shubh Mangala, Additional Chief Engineer Sampat Meghwal, Superintending Engineer Sandeep Nagpal and other technical officers were present in the meeting. In the meeting, there was a detailed discussion regarding the permanent solution to the problem of water logging at various places during monsoon, after which, based on the report of the technical officers, Mayor South Vanita Seth has given in-principle consent to build 6 small rain drains. Six rain drains will be built at a cost of about Rs 1.5 crore, which will provide a permanent solution to the problem of water logging in these areas in the upcoming monsoon season.

In the meeting in which the in-principle consent for the construction of these rain drains was given, Mayor South Vanita Seth said that the vacancies from Bhairuji Circle to Hanuman Mandir are about Rs 45 lakh, near Mathuradas Mathur Hospital is about Rs 30 lakh, Tilwadiya village is about Rs 90 thousand, Raj Hospital Shyam Nagar is about Rs. Around 14 lakh 76 thousand rupees, from Circuit House to Tarachand Circle around 15 lakh 80 thousand rupees and Ajit Colony Rain drains will be built at a cost of about Rs 40 lakh. Mayor South Vanita Seth has given in-principle approval to sanction approximately Rs 146.46 lakh for all these drains.
Financial approval will be issued
Financial approval will be given soon and the tender process will be completed soon to start the construction work of rain drains. After the in-principle agreement, now the technical team of the Municipal Corporation has started action regarding financial approval. The tender process will be completed soon after getting financial approval.
