A total of 256 people including 245 passengers were on board the plane.
A United Airlines flight going from Lagos, Nigeria to Washington, USA suddenly fell 1000 feet due to a strong shock on Friday. Four passengers and two crew members were injured in this mid-air jolt.
After this the plane had to return to Lagos Airport for emergency landing. According to United Airlines, there were 245 passengers, eight flight attendants and three pilots on board the flight.
A passenger on board the flight also shared a video of the incident. In this, food trays, food and other items have fallen on the floor of the plane. The airline said that the injured were admitted to the hospital, from where they have been discharged.

The reason for the incident is not clear, investigation continues
The reason for the sudden descent of the flight is not yet known. The airline said that the incident was not caused by air turbulence. American and Nigerian officials have jointly started its investigation.
According to Flight Radar 24, flight number UA613 suddenly began falling below its cruising altitude about 93 minutes after takeoff. The flight descended rapidly to 1000 feet approximately 89 minutes after takeoff.
Earlier on Tuesday also the same flight had to be diverted. However, no connection has been confirmed between the two incidents at this time.
