Vidarbha retained its 17 -member team on Monday for the Ranji Trophy final against Kerala. The final will be played at Jamatha’s VCA Stadium from Wednesday.
The Vidarbha Cricket Association said on Monday, “The VCA’s Senior Selection Committee decided to retain the same team in the meeting held on Monday which participated in the semi -finals against Mumbai. Akshay Wadkar will lead the team. ”
Vidarbha qualified for the final after a stunning 80 -run win over defending champions Mumbai in the current session domestic cricket’s top competition. Two -time champion Vidarbha suffered a defeat against Mumbai in the final last year who won his 42nd title.
On the other hand, Kerala will land in the Ranji Trophy final for the first time. After beating Jammu and Kashmir in the first innings in the quarter-finals, Kerala beaten Gujarat with a slight lead of two runs in the semi-finals.
The team is as follows: Akshay Wadkar (Captain), Atharva Taade, Aman Mokhade, Yash Rathore, Harsh Dubey, Akshay Karnewar, Yash Kadam, Akshay Wakhare, Aditya Thackeray, Darshan Nalakande, Nachiket Bhuthe, Siddhesh Wath, Yash Thakur, Danish Male, Partha Rekhade, Karun Nair and Dhruv Shore.
