In Washington, DC, a federal judge had prohibited the implementation of the Foreign Enemy Act by the first President Donald Trump. It is a law of the 18th century, which was used during World War II to capture American residents of Japanese origin and keep them in the detention camps without trial. Trump had demanded a quick deportation to the alleged members of the Venezuela train de Aragua gang using the warship of the Act, which are facing allegations of kidnapping, forced recovery and contract killings.
In Saturday evening hearing, US District Judge James Boseberg, while prohibiting the use of this law, said that this law applies only in the context of hostile acts that are done by another country and in line with the circumstances like war.
