China-Iran/Missiles: After the confrontation with Israel, Iran has once again started increasing its weapons stockpile. This time China has come forward to help Iran. China is sending 1000 tons of sodium perchlorate through cargo ship to Iran. It works as fuel in the missile.
Financial Times has told in its report that within the coming few weeks this chemical will be sent from China to Iran. This claim has been made in this report quoting intelligence officials of western countries.
This claim was made in the report
The Financial Times has said in its report that China will give more than 1,000 tons of sodium perchlorate to Iran. It is used to make ammonium perchlorate, which serves as fuel in missiles.
Last year, Iran had to face a lot of problems in making fuel for missiles. In the month of October, Israel had destroyed Iran’s long-range missile fuel production facilities.
Can make 250 missiles
According to the report of Financial Times, 960 tonnes of ammonium perchlorate can be made from this much sodium perchlorate. At the same time, 70 percent ammonium perchlorate is used in the missile’s fuel. From this, 250 Khyber Shekan or Haj Qassam missiles can be made.
The sodium perchlorate was being sent to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and 34 20-foot containers filled with the chemical were loaded onto the Golbon ship, which departed from the Chinese island of Daishan on Tuesday, the FT reported, citing officials.
USA had imposed sanctions
In 2023, the United States imposed sanctions on several people and entities in China, Hong Kong and Iran. He was accused of helping purchase key components and technology for Iran’s ballistic missile development. Last July, the US imposed sanctions on five individuals and seven entities based in Iran, China and Hong Kong, accusing them of helping Iran’s missile and drone programs.
