Crowd of hungry people vandalized
There was a stampede among the people who came to take food on Tuesday (May 27, 2025) in Gaza’s southern city of Rafa. A crowd of hungry people vandalized a lot here. According to the report of Al Jazeera, this stampede occurred after firing in the air of Israeli soldiers. Food centers are being started here to provide food to the people.
Israel said on 29 May 2025 that it targeted dozens of terrorist bases in Gaza. Local doctors said that at least 44 people were killed in this attack. During the incident, two people were allegedly shot dead.
Israeli army firing
A food center (GHF) was opened in Rafa with the support of America and Israel where thousands of people reached the gate earlier this week. During this time, 50 people were allegedly shot in the firing done by Israel here. A senior UN official said that the Israeli army opened fire as a warning in the air.
Jonathan Wohital, head of the United Nations Human office in Gaza, said that the GHF model is further promoting famine in this field. Due to this, the needs of 2.1 million people living here cannot be met. According to the BBC report, Israel had a complete blockade on Gaza on 2 March and resumed the military campaign after two weeks.
Negotiations continue about ceasefire
According to Gaza’s Health Ministry, more than 54,000 people have been killed in this war so far. Negotiations between Hamas and Israel continue between the new ceasefire. The White House said on Thursday (29 May 2025) that Israel has supported the new proposal to Hamas, but Hamas rejected it. According to the report, the agreement included a 60 -day ceasefire and a phased release of hostages. However, Hamas said that the proposal did not assure permanent ceasefire and return of all soldiers.
