
CM yogi poster in nepal: After the pictures of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath were shown at a monarchy rally organized to welcome former King Gyanendra Shah in Kathmandu, Nepal, political controversy has arisen. The purpose of the rally was to showcase support for the restoration of the monarchy in Nepal. He was welcomed by hundreds of supporters riding on motorcycles with Gyanendra’s picture and national flag on both sides of the road outside the airport. Some supporters also showed the picture of Adityanath along with Gyanendra’s picture.
Oli’s supporters said- India’s conspiracy
Amidst the political instability of Nepal, the poster of UP CM Yogi Adityanath has raised a different issue there. Yogi Adityanath is considered close to the royal family of Nepal. At this time, KP Oli’s government of Nepal is on the backfoot due to allegations of corruption, in such a situation, this rally of Gyanendra Shah is being seen as the biggest challenge. Regarding the poster of CM Yogi, Oli’s supporters said that India is behind it. At the same time, the supporting parties of Gyanendra retaliated and alleged that posters of Adityanath have been put up and called it a conspiracy of the Oli government.
What did the monarchy supporters say?
The organizers of the rally said that the use of the poster of CM Yogi Adityanath was neither official approval nor he knew about it. The rally instructed only to use the national flag and the picture of Gyanendra Shah. According to the report of the Indian Express, former minister and supporter Deepak Gyavali said, “We are not so weak that we have to use the picture of a foreign leader in our procession. He said that what should be said about putting pictures of Marx, Lenin, Mao etc. in the party office towards the communists?”
Relationship between Nepal’s royal family and Gorakhnath Math
There is a deep connection between the royal family of Nepal and Gorakhnath Math of Gorakhpur, as it is believed that the Shah dynasty received the blessings of Guru Gorakhnath. At this time, the head of Gorakhnath Math is Yogi Adityanath. The chief organizer of Gyanendra Shah’s rally, Rajendra Lingden, president of the National Democracy Party (RPP), said, “We do not know about its (Adityanath poster), but what we know and respect, is that King Gyanendra has a deep connection with faith and respect with Gorakhnath Math.
Gyanendra allegedly met Adityanath during his visit to Uttar Pradesh in January. For the last few days, the former king’s supporters have been rally in various parts of the country including Kathmandu and Pokhara and demanding reinstatement of the monarchy ended after the mass movement in 2008.
