Deepseek ban in US Congress: Chinese AI Chatbot Dipciak remains a topic of discussion in the world these days. There is constant concerns about the methods of data collection of this company. The US Parliament (Congress) has banned Chinese Artificial Intelligence (AI) chatboat deep use in its office. The US Parliament has strictly refused to install the chatbot on the phones, computers, and tablets given by the government to the employees.
US Parliament told dangerous
According to the report of Axios, the US Congress issued a notice regarding this saying that many chatboats are being used to upload dangerous software in the system. It has also mentioned about the risks related to deepC. The Chief Administrative Officer of the US Parliament says that at present is under the purview of deepcock investigation.
The Chinese company Dipcik made headlines when its AI model R1 surpassed the chat-GPT to create a top ranked free app on Apple’s appstore, which so far focused with American companies, especially Silicon Valley’s leading Open-AI AI Dominated the dominance.
Limit was set on the use of chatgpt in 2023
This is not the first time the US Congress has banned the use of an AI product. In the year 2023, the US Parliament laid a limit on the use of Chatgpt. Then the paid version of Chatgpt was left and that too was done for some special works. In April 2024, the use of Microsoft Copilot was banned in the US Parliament.
Italy started investigating
Italy’s Data Protection Authority banned the Chinese AI application Deepsek on Thursday (30 January 2025). Also started investigation against companies developing this chatbot. Deepsek did not give a satisfactory answer to Italy about data privacy. Apart from this, European Data Security Act does not apply to them, due to which Italy has taken action.
