The most discussed F-35 fighter jet on PM Modi’s US visit is being done. In a shared press conference after the meeting, Trump said that we are increasing arms sales with India and finally making a way to the Deal of the F-35 fighter aircraft.
F-35 is the US 5th generation fighter aircraft. It has been developed by Lockheed Martin Company. This plane was started to be made from 2006. It has been included in the US Air Force since 2015. It is the most expensive aircraft in the history of Pentagon. The US spends an average of $ 82.5 million (about Rs 715 crore) on an F-35 fighter plane.
Then what is the reason that Trump is pressurizing India to buy this fighter jet, India will benefit or harm in buying such an expensive aircraft… will know in this story …

What are the flaws of f-35 fighter jet deal?
1. The most expensive in the world, a F-35 aircraft worth 700-944 crores
There are 3 variants of F-35, which starts from Rs 700 crore to Rs 944 crore. Apart from this, an additional cost of Rs 31.20 lakh will be spent every hour to operate F-35.
2. ₹ 53 crore Maintenance annually, 30 lakhs will be spent in flight every hour
According to a new estimate of the Government of Government Accountability Office (GAO), the US government’s lifetime cost will be $ 2 lakh crore, or about Rs 170 lakh crore, according to new estimates from the Government of Government Accountability Office (GAO). In 2018, the total cost of this program was fixed at $ 1.7 lakh crore i.e. Rs 157 lakh crore. This institution says that due to the increase in the price of maintenance of this fighter jet, its lifetime cost also increased.
According to GAO, the maintenance of an F-35 will cost Rs 53 crore every year. Along with this, 30 lakh rupees will be spent on every hour flight. In such a situation, if India buys this aircraft for Rs 1000 crore, then it will cost Rs 3,180 crore in a 60 -year service period. This is three times more than the price of the aircraft.
3. Fighter jets in front of drone technology are seen in Russia-Ukraine Jung
The way of fighting war with drone technology has changed. It is easy to attack with a drone instead of fighter jets on the front line. It is difficult to attack fighter jets due to the anti-ai-circraft system being installed near the front line in the Russia-Ukraine war. In such a situation, small and extremely low -priced drones have proved to be the deadliest weapons.
4. Ilon Musk had said- some stupid still making fighter jets like F-35
Musk uploaded a video in a post on X. In this, hundreds of small drones were surrounded by the sky. Musk wrote- Some stupids are still making pilot-like fighter jets like F-35.
Musk said that the design of F-35 was bad at the initial level. It was designed in such a way that everyone could get every specialty. But due to this, F-35 became expensive and became complicated product. Such a design was never successful. Anyway, in the era of drones, now such fighter jets have no meaning. These are only for the pilot to kill.

Why does Trump want to sell F-35 to India
The Congress Service, which is called the Congress called the Congress and analyzes research and analysis, says that India will spend $ 200 billion i.e. about 17 lakh crore rupees in the next 10 years. Trump wants to make America the largest shareholder of this expenditure.
Prior to the US, Russia has offered to sell fifth generation SU 57. In such a situation, Trump wants to make this deal with India by putting pressure on all the products to increase import duty.
The Indian Air Force needs 42 squadrons of aircraft. Instead, the Air Force has only 31 squadrons. The number of active squadrons in this also is only 29. MiG 29 Bison’s 2 squadrons will retire this year.
A squadron consists of 18 aircraft. Accordingly, the Air Force has a major shortage of 234 aircraft. Trump wants to take advantage of this compulsion of India and sell at least 2 squadrons of F-35 to India before any country.
What do India have the option of f-35 fighter aircraft?
1. SU-57 fighter aircraft of Russia’s fifth generation, half from F-35
Russia has offered India to give its fifth generation aircraft SU-57. It costs half compared to F-35. According to reports, the price of a SU-57 is around 325 crores.
The SU-57 officials of Aero India 2025 in Bengaluru this week said without naming the US that if India buys Russian jets, it will neither have to worry about sanctions nor wait for the parts.
Its maintenance will also be cheaper than F-35. Actually, if India buys F-35 from America, it will have to depend on the American company from service to spare parts. While there is no such problem with SU-57. Russia has proposed to make it in India itself. If it was made in India, then all the service related to it will be arranged in India.
Russia India’s trusted defense supplier: Russia has been India’s major military supplier for many decades. Russia has been providing Russia to India from fighter jets and submarine to missile systems and helicopters. Among them, SU-30mki of the Indian Air Force, Navy’s sword class frigate and T-90 tanks of Army have been taken from Russia.

2. India itself remained fifth generation fighter jet
India is working on its own 5th generation fighter aircraft, which will be completed in 2-3 years. In April 2024, the Cabinet Committee (CCS) on security approved a project of Rs 15,000 crore for the design and development of the fifth generation indigenous fighter jet. This fighter jet is named ‘Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft’ (Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft – AMCA).
According to the cabinet committee, the AMCA aircraft will be larger than other fighter aircraft of the Indian Air Force. It will have advanced stealth technology to avoid enemy radar. This would be better than or even better than the fifth generation of stealth fighter jets in the world.
America also offered Jewelin missile and striker tank to India
