In the US, the ban will be implemented on the entry of citizens of 12 countries from today. On June 4, US President Donald Trump issued an order regarding this, which will be applicable from 9 June today.
Apart from 12 countries, partial restrictions will be applicable on citizens of 7 countries from today. This will apply to both immigration and non-immigration visas.
Trump cited the safety of American people and the protection of life behind his decision. Trump said on 4 June-

America is required to protect us from foreign nationals who try to misuse terrorist attacks, damage national security, spread hatred or take advantage of immigration laws.

What is the difference between full ban and partial ban?
According to the US State Department, a complete ban means that most of the citizens of that country enter the US are completely banned. These include tourist visa, student visa, work visa and immigrant visa.
At the same time, partial ban means that the citizens of that country are banned on certain types of visas or entry, not the rest.
That is, there will be no immigrant visa, but you can get a tourist visa. Students will get permission, but work visas will be stopped.

Trump had said- take precautions while issuing visas
On June 4, Trump asked citizens of other countries to take precautions while issuing visas. He had said that while issuing the visa, it should be kept in mind that such people should not come to America, who can harm the interests of Americans or the country.
Trump said …

People coming on immigration visas become permanent residents, so their investigation is more important and difficult. It is difficult to remove these people even when security is threatened. On the other hand, the investigation of those coming on non-immigration visas is less. Therefore, it is necessary to stop those coming from countries where the arrangements related to identity and information are not good.
In 2017, 7 Muslim -dominated countries were banned
Trump imposed a travel ban in 2017 during his first term, often called a Muslim ban. Most Muslim -dominated countries were included in this.
According to the order issued in January 2017, in the initial ban, 7 countries which were banned from coming to the US completely. They included Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen.
Later it was changed. The first Iraq was excluded from this list. Later Sudan was removed and the Chad was replaced by Chad. Then non-Muslim countries like North Korea and Venezuela were also included so that it could not be called religious discrimination.

This ban was challenged in courts, but in 2018, the US Supreme Court considered it valid. Joe Biden canceled this travel ban as soon as he became President in 2021.
Trump said- ban required to stop terrorism
Trump has described these restrictions as necessary to prevent terrorism. He said that these restrictions are also necessary so that there can be cooperation from foreign governments, immigration laws can be implemented and national security, foreign policy and anti -terrorism functions can be carried forward.
The order stated about Afghanistan that there is a Taliban control, which is a terrorist group and there is no capable or associate government to issue passports or civil documents. Also, there are no proper investigation methods.
According to the order, the reason for the ban on Myanmar is that the people there stay in America even after the visa expires.
