Varun Dhawan insight on Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma: Former captain of the Indian cricket team, Virat Kohli achieved tremendous success during his captaincy in Test cricket. He led India to victory in 40 out of 68 test matches. However, this path has not always been easy for him. When India faced a 1-4 defeat on the England tour in 2018, it was a very difficult time for Kohli.
Recently, Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan shared an interesting anecdote on Kohli’s mentality, which was narrated to him by Kohli’s wife Anushka Sharma. Dhawan told on “The Ranveer Show”, “Anushka told me about an incident. After India lost the Test match in England, she was not present in the stadium. When she returned to the hotel, she did not see Virat anywhere. She reached the room and saw that Virat was really crying and was taking all the responsibility of the defeat on himself.

Since 2018, Kohli has not scored as many runs as expected. So far in 2024, Kohli has scored only 376 runs in 17 innings in Test cricket, which includes one century and one half-century. His average has also been only 25.
It is worth noting that in the India vs England 2018 Test match, even though Team India lost that series, Kohli’s performance was excellent. He had scored 593 runs in that five-match series, which included two centuries and three half-centuries.
Virat Kohli now probably has his last chance to prove himself in 2024. The Indian team is going to play the Boxing Day Test against Australia in Melbourne on 26 December. The Border-Gavaskar Trophy is currently tied at 1-1 and this test match will prove to be important for the final of the World Test Championship 2025.
