Vedanta Group Chairman Anil Agarwal, who joined Rising Rajasthan, made several announcements of investment in the state. After this, in a special conversation with Dainik Bhaskar, he said that Rajasthan is close to his heart and there are plenty of opportunities for entrepreneurs here. state and center

Rising Rajasthan is happening, will the full investment reach the ground? Due to the largest scope, Rajasthan is most important regarding solar and wind energy. Our land is rich in oil, gas, gold, silver, zinc and phosphate. There are many stones here also. It needs exploration. It is just like farming. Must be sustainable. The government also wants this. This should be done as soon as possible.
The government has brought a new mining policy, will it make a difference? Yes, it takes time. Man turns from young to old, but the work will be completed only if it is done on time. By the time the work progresses, the second generation arrives.
Don’t you give suggestions to the government? I am the only person in the country who has been speaking for 25 years. I have been saying that Rajasthan has a lot to offer. When we were taking Hindustan Zinc, it was being said that we would not be able to produce one lakh tonnes of zinc. Today we are making up to 10 lakh tonnes every year. They are the same people, they are the same machines.
Then where does the lack remain? In fact, we have become in the habit of importing. We keep ourselves poor and send our money abroad and ask for goods from them. We are full of gold. Full of silver. We produce oil and gas for ten dollars and bring it from outside for 80-90 dollars. The more relaxation the government gives, the productivity will increase.
What is Rajasthan investment plan? We will invest Rs 1 lakh crore. Right now we are providing employment to one lakh, with this investment we will provide employment to two lakh. Will increase production 100 percent. If we make 10 lakh tonnes of zinc, we will take it to 20 lakh tonnes. Renewable power production will increase to 10 thousand MW. Silver production will be 800 tonnes to 1600 tonnes. This will happen in two years.
What are you doing for the youth? We are building a Zinc Industrial Park in Rajasthan in collaboration with Hindustan Zinc. It will be non-profit. Youth should set up zinc and lead based industries there. They will get the raw material. We will also provide power. I very much wish that the youth of Rajasthan should set up industries. Will be able to start work with an initial investment of Rs 5 crore. This park will be important in the new investment of Rs 1 lakh crore in Zinc, Oil and Gas and Renewable Energy sectors. It will operate completely on renewable energy.
Which new sector are you going to enter? We will only expand the existing work. There is a lot of potential here. There is plenty of oil and gas in the ground. This can be done until oil and gas prices are halved. This will happen only if oil is extracted in the country itself.
What happened to the semiconductor project? My eyes don’t move here and there. I am also looking at semiconductor, but my focus is to expand the work I am doing and give benefits to the country and the state. We are paying Rs 50 thousand crore tax every year. Rajasthan gets Rs 10 thousand crores. If the expansion is completed, there will be tax of Rs 1.50 lakh crore, Rajasthan will get Rs 30 thousand crore. Semiconductor licenses have not been received yet. Gujarat has given permission. Will proceed further after getting the license. We are bringing India’s first fertilizer plant in Rajasthan.
How do you see Cairn’s future with the refinery? Raw material can be supplied from Cairn. Apart from this, process can also be done. A huge work has been done since the refinery became operational. The by-product that will be obtained from this can create many industries.
What happened to the sports stadium in Jaipur? The government has not clarified anything yet. We don’t have complete information yet.
Will Kyanandghar project be expanded? This is a project close to my heart. Not a single child in Rajasthan is a victim of malnutrition. He should get food, he should get education, his health should be taken care of. There are currently 3600 Nand houses here. 25 thousand more will be opened in the coming years. CM Bhajanlal Sharma has asked for this.
