Virat Kohli Not Out Of Form: Virat Kohli scored a century in the first test of Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. However, after this his bat appeared silent. Virat has batted in 5 innings in the series, scoring one century and scoring only 26 runs in the remaining 4 innings. Now, before the fourth and Boxing Day Test of the series to be played in Melbourne, former Team India coach Ravi Shastri said that Virat Kohli is not out of form.
Apart from Kohli, Ravi Shastri also talked about Australia’s star batsman Steve Smith. The former Indian coach said that Virat Kohli would be hungry to see players like him like Steve Smith, Joe Root and Kane Williamson. King Kohli would definitely like to make a comeback by performing brilliantly in the Boxing Day Test.
Speaking on the ICC review, Ravi Shastri said, “I think they (Kohli and Smith) might have slipped down in the current form because you know you have players like Root, Williamson is doing well, Harry Brooke Sr. You know there are other young players pushing, but in this situation, you know they will be dangerous.”
Shastri further said about Steve Smith’s century in Brisbane, “What you saw from Smith is important. He may have had to struggle in the beginning, but he was ready to play the waiting game and stay disciplined. I Looks like it’s the same with Virat. If Virat takes the first 30, 40 minutes seriously with application and discipline, I don’t think he is out of form.
