No non-Muslim person will come to Waqf- Amit Shah
Amit Shah said that as far as India is concerned, Waqf came into existence for the first time at the beginning of the Sultanate period in Delhi. In the British era, the 1863 Religious Donation Act was followed, later the Charitable Property Act was run from 1890, after which the Muslim Waqf Validity Act came into existence in 1913. Till then all these procedures used to run under the Charitable Act. After independence, this act changed for centralization of Waqf in 1954. The Waqf Justice Tribunal and the Waqf Board were established in 1995. The Waqf Council and the Waqf Board came from 1995. The whole quarrel which is going on that you put non -Muslim, kept non -Muslim. This quarrel is to interfere in the Waqf. At first, no non -Islamic member will come in the Waqf, it should be clearly understood, nor will Mutavalli be non -Islamic, there will be no non -Islamic, there is no provision that conducts religious institutions, there is no provision to keep any non -Muslim person in and we do not want to do it.
