West Bengal: BJP delegation met Governor and filed a complaint against Mamta’s statement

A delegation of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led by Leader of Opposition Shubhendu Adhikari in the West Bengal Legislative Assembly, on Thursday, Governor C.V. After meeting Anand Bose, he formally filed a complaint against Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for a statement related to calling Mahakumbh ‘Matukumbha’ and requested to remove the comment from the record of the assembly.

On Tuesday, Banerjee called Mahakumbh a ‘death’ and alleged that the officials were not telling the actual number. Banerjee’s statement was widely criticized.

Addressing the journalists after the meeting, the officer strongly condemned Banerjee’s statement and described it as an insult to Sanatan Dharma.

He demanded that this comment be removed from the assembly records.

The official said, “We have requested the Governor to intervene in the matter. We have asked them to ensure that the Speaker of Assembly Biman Baman Banerjee should remove these comments calling Mahakumbh as ‘death Aquarius’. This is an insult to Sanatan Hinduism and the Sanatanis of West Bengal will not accept this. ”

On Monday, officials, Agnimitra Paul, Bankim Ghosh and Vishwanath Karak were suspended for 30 days or by the end of the session, as they came in front of the posture of the House and tore the papers related to the work.
